In 2021, our group gathered and decided we were going to be more than a Bible study. We wanted to join where God was doing work in our city and become a Missional Community. Each of us collected the names of three non-profit agencies or places where we can serve and we researched and reviewed each one. Upon praying and collective agreement, we reached out to Revival Ministry and asked how we could partner with them. In just a few months, Rosemarie Clarke, Founder of Revival Ministry, had led us through an onboarding class and we were in the field doing the work of the Lord. In hindsight, Rosemarie has often shared the story of how she was praying to God for laborers and then the phone rang. Sure enough God answered her prayers in the form of a bunch of young adults. Isn’t God good?

Revival Ministry

As of January 2024, our Missional Community regularly serves with Revival Ministry, who is on the front lines, working to provide “A Way Out” for residents in the four neighborhoods they serve. Through monthly prayer walks in these apartment complexes and special events like cookouts and Christmas gift basket distribution, we have had the opportunity to start Bible studies, teach children to read, and meet hundreds of people, many of whom are living in the hardest times of their lives. We join Revival Ministry in carrying out God’s mission as stated on their website, “Our goal is to revive lives physically and spiritually; getting them out of impoverishment. We do this work in the name of Jesus and to God’s glory.

Citywide

In addition, several of our community serve and worship with Citywide, the young adult ministry based out of Sandhills Community Church. This is where we retreat to have fun and spread the love that God has shown us with our peers weekly.
