Have you heard pastors talk about the “Big ‘C’ Church” and “Little ‘c’ churches?” Well, that is exactly the C-section our Missional Community finds itself in. The “Big ‘C’ Church” is God’s universal church, the body of Christ, His people on every continent, in every culture, and throughout all time. This Church transcends physical and digital gatherings and will one day be unified in the New Heavens and New Earth. “Little ‘c’ churches” are the individual gatherings of God’s people, that are divided on just about every issue imaginable, yet instrumental as the hands and feet of Christ in carrying out God’s mission.
This Missional Community believes in strong, sacrificial devotion to God’s mission and a correct understanding of an individual’s position in both God’s Church and one’s local church. We encourage one another to serve, pursue mentorship, and give financially to whatever church God calls them to in our city. In addition, we strive to embody the unity of God’s Church by crossing denominational barriers and studying God’s word with the diversity of perspective we will one day experience in the New Heavens and the New Earth in the fullness of knowledge. We pray God would establish His Kingdom on Earth as it is in Heaven and that we would illustrate the unifying power of Christ in our polarizing and isolating culture.
